Mumbai: A day after a bike-borne couple was run over by a dumper on the pockmarked National Park flyover in Borivli, the MSRDC has claimed there are no potholes in the lane where the crash occurred. Nazir Shah and his wife, Chhaya Khilare, both 43, were on their way to a TV shoot at Naigaon when their bike allegedly skidded before they were run over by the dumper on Wednesday.
While the police have not reached a conclusion about the sequence of events leading to the crash, images that went viral on social media show the couple lying injured next to a pothole. The couple’s kin demonstrated at Kasturba Marg police station on Thursday demanding action against the road maintenance agency.
