Mumbaikars participate in a monsoon marathon at Lonavala

The monsoons add a beautiful touch to sceneries. The beautiful weather also brought out a group of fitness lovers as they headed out to a hill station to take part in a scenic running trail. Around 550 people participated in a half marathon in Lonavala. Named The Fog Run, this was an action-packed, sporty morning marathon with a large dose of rainy weather. RUNNING IN THE FOG IS A SURREAL EXPERIENCE’

Several runners decided to head out to Lonavala very early before the start, just to ensure they weren’t caught in traffic snarls or harsh weather. Disha Sharma, a participant, shares “We left at 2 am from Palava and reached our destination by 5 am. Everyone was excited to be a part of this event. We started the run by doing some stretching exercises, followed by some Zumba dance moves.”
