Notice to Gandhis: Cong plans protest outside ED's office

Senior Congress leaders Nana Patole, who is state party unit chief, Balasaheb Thorat, who is revenue minister, and Ashok Chavan, who is public works minister, will stage a protest outside the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Mumbai on Monday to protest against the Modi government's "conspiracy to implicate" Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in a false case. The protest will also be held outside the ED office in Nagpur.

The ED has issued the mother and son notices asking them to appear before it in connection with irregularities in a firm.

Patole said the BJP government at the Centre is acting with political vendetta against Sonia and Rahul as part of its ploy to silence the opposition by misusing central agencies.
