Rahul must look at future and create history, not rake up history, says Raut

Warning that his party won’t tolerate comments against Vinayak Savarkar, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi must look at the future and not past.

On Tuesday, comparing the martyrdom of tribal leader Birsa Munda with Savarkar, Rahul said the latter, who is an icon of the BJP and RSS, wrote letters and mercy petitions to the British, even offering to work with them. He said the Congress idolised Munda, who preferred death to inducements offered by the British.
