Airport Line: DMRC seeks ₹7.1k cr for dues

New Delhi: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has sought financial help from the Centre and Delhi government to pay the arbitral award of over Rs 7,100 crore to Reliance Infrastructure’s Delhi Airport Metro Express Pvt. Ltd. (DAMEPL), which ran the Airport Express Line on public-private partnership for a few years.

Reeling under a massive financial crisis since the Covid-19 outbreak, sources said the Delhi Metro has sought financial assistance of Rs 3,500 crore each from both the Delhi government and the Centre, who are equal partners in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
