
New Delhi: At 3,634, Punjab recorded the highest single-day crop stubble burning incidents of the season on Wednesday. Before this, the state had witnessed 2,131 farm fires on Monday. Since the peak burning season is on, farm fires are rising.
However, Delhi’s air quality, which had reached the “severe” category on Tuesday, improved slightly and touched “very poor” on Wednesday. As strong winds blew during the day, it helped in dispersion of pollutants.
