Cancel Dera chief parole: Legal notice to Haryana chief secy

Demanding cancellation of parole granted by the Haryana government to the controversial head of Sirsa-headquartered Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS), Gurmeet Ram Rahim, a legal notice has been sent to the Haryana chief secretary.

Chandigarh: The notice says that by permitting Gurmeet Ram Rahim to hold satsang during the 40-day parole, the state government is virtually bowing before the man convicted of rapes and murders and is treating him as if he is above the law of the land. The state government is permitting him to promote the criminalisation of society, as he is glamourising it, according to the notice.
