The Times of India|November 21, 2022
The Russian government has announced that Indian medical students, who left Ukraine due to the war, can continue their education in Russian universities. Oleg Avdeev, Russian Consul General has said that the medical syllabus is almost the same in Russia and Ukraine. This has evoked hope among students waiting for a campus transfer. However, no related guidelines have been released till now by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Indian medical students in Ukraine opting for transfer to Russian Universities need to be cautious

"The offer by Russia is not a new initiative. The process to grant admission to Ukraine-returned Indian students has been ongoing for the past few months. The helping hand would have served more effectively in curbing distress, if the announcement had been made more formally and a bit earlier," says Anuj Goyal, education counsellor and co-founder, Get My University.
