Leaders must make simpler, quicker, transparent decisions
The Times of India|November 16, 2022
As the world moves from a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex & ambiguous) to a BANI (brittle, anxious, non-linear & incomprehensible) world, I advocate that my potential clients at least renovate if they cannot fully innovate.

Leaders must make simpler, quicker, transparent decisions

The fast-spreading BANI reality demands a major redraw of our strategy, business models, leadership, talent and culture. The issue of enterprise risk is getting more complex and, within that, the comprehension of appreciating people risks — beyond statutory compliances — has become inalienable. What should organisations and individuals then think of doing next?

Purpose & tactics must cohabit: With cause-and-effect algorithms getting hazier, if not distorted, tactical resets must become a core competency. Agility of companies must get demonstrated in higher resilience, better anticipation and faster adaptiveness while keeping its purpose at all times as its North Star. This is the ambidexterity that BANI times demand.
