Metro to build bridge to pass over flyover near Jagatpur

New Delhi: An elevated viaduct of the Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor of Delhi Metro's Phase IV will pass over a flyover at Gujjar Chowk. Passing over a busy flyover, Metro officials said, is always a challenge and the girder launch will be done late night to avoid inconvenience to traffic movement underneath. The 12.5km corridor is scheduled to open by mid-2024.

"The under-construction elevated viaduct will cross a flyover at Gujjar Chowk, Jagatpur village between Jagatpur and Jharoda Majra Metro stations. Crossing flyovers is always a critical engineering challenge as the process needs meticulous planning and round-the-clock observation," said Anuj Dayal, principal executive director of corporate communications at DMRC.
