The multi-city swoop led by DCP Pramod Kushwaha resulted in the arrest of seven terror suspects, including two Pak-trained terrorists, and seizure of two IEDs, two hand grenades, four pistols and 50 live rounds.
The operation, sources said, was significant because it not only averted serial blasts and targeted killings, but also exposed a new route adopted by ISI for facilitating entry into Pakistan for imparting terrorist training to Indian recruits. Two of the arrested men had trained at Thatta in Pakistan, the same place as Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab.
