New Delhi: With MCD polls likely to take place soon, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said the civic elections would be fought on the issue of garbage this time.
Visiting the Ghazipur landfill site, one of the three garbage dumping grounds in the capital, Kejriwal said he would make Delhi clean in five years. “If we don’t clean Delhi, don’t vote for us,” he added.
The landfill sites have become a new battleground for the governing AAP in Delhi and BJP, which led the civic bodies for 15 years, with both political parties blaming each other for the mountains of garbage.
