Hadwin 'jacked up' after attitude shift

Canadian heads into PGA Tour's playoff schedule with the ability to move on from bad shots

Adam Hadwin is a 36-year-old veteran of 10-plus PGA Tour seasons. He is a tour winner and a six-time runner-up. He has 18 top-five finishes and 43 top-10s. He's played in two Presidents Cups and two World Cups and he has made more than $25 million (U.S.) as a professional.

Yet last week's Wyndham Championship may prove to be one of the most pivotal events of his career. Not because of his play, given he left Greensboro, N.C., with a middling tie for 28th after a final-round 70 dropped him down the leaderboard. Rather, he views the tournament as a potential turning point because of his attitude. Hadwin added acceptance to his arsenal.

"Last week at Wyndham I by no means executed every golf shot the way I wanted to," he said Wednesday from Memphis, where he was preparing for the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the PGA Tour's first playoff event. "On Sunday I hit some absolutely atrocious golf shots. But I was never stressed about it. I was never anxious about it. I was never questioning my ability.
