Hot Docs president steps down

Resignation follows months of internal strife, financial woes

Marie Nelson has stepped down as president of Hot Docs, Canada’s largest documentary film festival.

The festival’s board of directors announced Nelson’s resignation on its website Tuesday night, saying, “We are proud of the work Hot Docs has accomplished with Marie at the helm and are confident that the groundwork she has laid during her tenure will assist us in realizing our full potential.”
