How did you become interested in photography?
To begin with, I was interested in beautiful visuals from a very early age. Having fond memories, I spent time sketching, and painting landscapes; and then when I got my first smartphone, which was a 'Nokia Lumia 720', I started to capture everything around me. That phone was way ahead of its time, thanks to its incredible image quality.
Post which, I started sharing my photos on Instagram and received positive reviews, which then kicked me to quickly upgrade to a 'Lumia 920', and my portraits from that phone helped me win a 'Lumia 1020' through an online international competition held by Nokia. I began to learn and explore more about photography through many different websites and photographers from there on.
Where do you find your inspiration from?
Inspiration can come from anywhere - be it movies, people around you, everyday objects, etc. Recently, I created a photo series based on Sherlock Holmes in Dubai. Sometimes I just drive around and observe things around me and being out there inspires me like nothing else.
How much time do you spend as a photographer preparing, shooting, and editing?
This is something that changes as per your experience and many other things. If you had asked me this in my initial years I'd say I spend 50% time shooting and 50% time editing but now preparing and planning is the most important part so I spend around 40% time preparing 20% shooting, and 40% editing.
What are three new things you've learned about photography in the last year?
