HOW quickly this year has passed as here we are in the final month of 2023. It has been a great pleasure writing my articles for an other year and hearing from so many of you readers.
It is very nice to hear how much you like my articles and my exclusive photos. I look forward to doing the same in 2024, the weeks and next few months will past and we will be back racing here at Newmarket on the Rowley Mile starting with our Craven fixture in April.
I am hoping to slip over to Ireland shortly and go to the Woodfield Farm Stud. It is situated beneath the beautiful Comeragh Mountains at Dungarven in County Waterford. BULLET TRAIN stands there at this stud – he was the pacemaker for Frankel in his races and also acted as lead horse to the great horse in his work on the gallops here at Newmarket. I am sure I will be given a typical warm-hearted Irish welcome there.
I hope you all like this photo of me with my Hack here at Newmarket, he was a very good racehorse when in training here with William Haggas. I have renamed him BIMBO and love taking him out on a warm spring and summer morning. Bimbo was the name of a Jim Reeves song that my late mother loved.
