However, the centre-back spent the latter part of last season on loan at Turkish side Besiktas and has now decided to permanently cut ties with his home-town club. He has joined Scott Parker's Clarets on a four-year deal for an undisclosed and doesn't plan fee on hanging around for long in the second tier.
