The 6ft 6in skipper made his 350th Millwall outing during last weekend's 0-0 draw at Hull - a tally that places him eighth in the club's record books.
Manager Harris sits fourth on that roster with 431 and, on reaching his latest landmark and his future hopes, Cooper told The FLP: "It seems to have happened quickly and flown by in a bit of a whirlwind, but I've loved every minute and still feel there's a lot of life in me and more to come.
"Hopefully, that can be at this football club and who knows what appearance statistics I can achieve if I keep improving and moving forward? It would be great to chase down Chopper, the gaffer's, appearance number."
Harris, who is also the club's record all-time goalscorer, is one of only five players to have featured in more than 400 games for the south Londoners and, like him, the others - Barry Kitchener (596), Keith Stevens (557), Harry Cripps (433) and Alan McLeary (413) - all epitomise the club's uncompromising ethos.
