WITH FOLDER COLORIZER, you're no longer restricted to using the plain blue folder design offered by macOS. You can change the folder color, add an icon or emoji or replace the front with an image drawn from the libraries of Pixabay, Pexels, and Unsplash (with over 3.1 million to choose from).
Just drag the folder you wish to modify on to the app's sidebar. You can drag several folders at once, and customize them all together. You can then use the options in the toolbar to make your customizations.
