"Whether you're writing down grocery lists or reminders, they'll be in view for the whole family." To do: Paint two to three coats of chalkboard paint (like Rust-Oleum Black Chalkboard Paint, $29, Amazon.com) on a blank wall, allowing drying time between each coat. Before you draw on it, "season" the wall by rubbing chalk over the surface, then wipe with an eraser.
