Known for her kindhearted spirit, infectious energy and sunny outlook, Hoda Kotb, 59, is springtime personified. "There is something special about new beginnings and fresh starts this time of year," Hoda tells FIRST. "I love the idea of 'repotting,' or taking yourself up by the roots and putting yourself down in another spot that gives you room to grow. I feel like that's what I've done throughout my career and with my family, and spring is perfect for that. Things are full of hope and bursting with new life!" Here, Hoda's secrets for finding peace, joy and letting your authentic self bloom.
MY CONFIDENCE BOOSTER
See the beauty inside
"Body confidence is an issue for many women," Hoda acknowledges. "My mom is someone who has always had confidence in her body, so I grew up watching that. But I feel your body's purpose is to carry around your spirit and your soul, the best parts of you. So it's important to keep it feeling good. For me, that's the first step. I exercise and I take fish oil for heart health with lemon in it so you don't have fishy burps. Feeling good physically gives me energy to nurture my spirit."
