Getting to know...Karen Blick

Best known as Emmerdale's Lydia, Karen (48) talks to us about caravans, yoga and her hard-hitting new storyline

I will stay at Emmerdale as long as they'll have me. It's a lovely place to work. I've got a tough storyline coming up where Lydia is raped, but I've had such support.

The costume department left flowers and chocolate in my dressing room saying, "Make sure you take time out for yourself. We're really proud of your input in this storyline."

My biggest passion is yoga. I became an avid practitioner this year and do it daily at home, online and I visit a studio once a week. I feel the benefits, both physical and mental.

Heights really scare me. My dad was a climber and my parents were both keen cavers and walkers, so I've always been really active, but I'm terrified of climbing. I once went abseiling and I was shaking involuntarily.
