Raising kids Kate-style - ‘MY DADDY DAYCARE!’

Juggling a successful acting career with three kids isn’t for the faint-hearted. But Kate Hudson has it covered thanks to good co-parenting arrangements with her children’s dads and her secret weapon – her mum.

“I can’t leave my mum,” the Raising Helen star, 43, confesses. “I have to live less than a mile away from Mother… literally!”

Kate’s mum, of course, is Hollywood legend Goldie Hawn, who celebrated her 77th birthday last year and it’s never been any secret that the pair are close.

What the Almost Famous star has kept under wraps, until now, however, has been the dynamics of her complicated family unit, which involves raising three children – a pre-schooler, a ’tween and a teen – with three different dads.

And take it from Kate: it works! “It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside, I feel like we’re killing it!” says Kate, who is mum to son Ryder, 18, from her marriage to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson; 11-year-old son Bingham, from her relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, and daughter Rani Rose, four, who she shares with musician fiancé Danny Fujikawa.

“The unit I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit and it’s ours,” she says proudly.
