Nearly three years after walking away from royal life and falling out with their family as a result, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex are planning a year of reconciliation in an effort to patch things up.
The couple are hoping to thaw their frosty relationship with Harry's father, the King, and brother Prince William, along with other senior royals, and will put lots of energy into that in 2023, according to royal sources.
However, there could be a couple of large spanners in the works - their controversial fly-on-the-wall Netflix documentary series and Harry's tell-all memoir.
Palace insiders say their attempts to get back in the royals' good books could fail spectacularly depending on what the Sussexes have to say about them on the screen and page.
Some of their anticipated "truth bombs" about life with The Firm could thwart any plans to kiss and make up, says the source.
"They have always been careful to not criticise the Monarch, so they have tried to be respectful to the Queen.
