It's a rough start to married life as lawsuits fly over who has to pay for the big day

They had one of the most expensive weddings in history – but behind the scenes, it appears the day Brooklyn Beckham said “I do” to heiress Nicola Peltz was less dream and more nightmare!

Now, the full drama of the couple’s $5.5 million nuptials has been laid bare in a shocking 188-page lawsuit. Within the pages of the legal documents, excruciating details have been revealed, including an assertion by Nicola’s billionaire father Nelson Peltz that the wedding should have been cancelled and claims that the Peltz family gave firm instructions to their wedding planners to keep the Beckhams in the dark about the chaos leading up to their eldest son’s big day.

“This lawsuit epitomises the world of the uber-wealthy,” says a source, “and it’s not always a pretty picture.”

Soon after Transformers actress Nicola, 28, exchanged vows with former model Brooklyn, 23, rumours began to circulate that all was not well behind the scenes.

Word had it that former Spice-Girl-turned-fashion designer Victoria, 48, was deeply offended when her future daughter-in-law chose to wear a Valentino gown for the nuptials instead of a Victoria Beckham creation.

Then, last month, Nelson, 80, raised eyebrows when he launched a lawsuit against wedding planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, alleging they made serious mistakes during the leadup to the April 9, 2022 wedding and demanding back the $250,000 deposit he paid for the women’s services.
