If the sunny weather has got you thinking about healthy eating and you need inspiration to get you started – or back on track – look no further. We’ve teamed up with Slimming World to provide a flexible eating plan full of healthy and filling recipes. What’s more, you could lose up to 7lbs in just two weeks!*
HOW IT WORKS
1 Choose one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner every day and feel free to repeat any meals you enjoy.
2 Slimming World’s eating plan, Food Optimising, is based on scientific evidence, and is a simple way to cut calories without counting them, and lose weight without going hungry.
3 It’s based on the science of energy density and satiety (how filling a food is), helping you to limit your calorie intake without any counting.
4 Free Food is at the heart of the Slimming World plan. These are foods you can enjoy without weighing, measuring or counting. There are more than 350 Free Foods to choose from, including fruit, veg, pasta, rice, potatoes, pulses, lean meat (and some plant-based proteins eg Quorn), fat-free dairy, fish and poultry. Basing your meals around Free Food (printed in bold) and reaching for them first will naturally limit your calorie intake and allow you to lose weight without feeling hungry.
5 To make meals extra tasty, stock your store cupboard with herbs, low-calorie cooking spray, tomato puree, seasoning, soy sauce, spices and stock cubes, most of which can be used freely to flavour meals.
