She was known for her trendsetting style, with her looks often being completed by iconic jewellery. And before her death, Princess Diana made it clear who she wanted to inherit her collection: ‘I would like you to allocate all my jewellery to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it.’ Her sons’ wives have indeed been gifted pieces from her collection, but which are Kate and Meghan’s favourites?

THREE-STRAND PEARL BRACELET WITH DIAMOND CLASPS
Designed by Nigel Milne in 1988, this bracelet – which features three rows of pearls with diamond and pearl spacers – was crafted to support Birthright, one of the many charities that Diana was a patron of. Part of a three-piece collection created to raise money for the charity, Princess Di first wore the bracelet to the Birthright Ball in 1989 and continued to wear it for years, before Kate dug it out of the jewellery box and wore it for the first time during a visit to Berlin in 2017. It’s said to be worth £35,000.
CEYLON SAPPHIRE ENGAGEMENT RING

'THAT'S NOT MY BABY'
Lying in the hospital bed, my husband Michael had tears of happiness in his eyes as he showed me a photo on his phone. 'Here she is,' he said proudly. 'This is our beautiful baby girl.'I stared at the photo and shook my head. 'No, that's not my baby,' I said. 'There must be a mistake.'It was August 2010 and I'd not long before had an emergency caesarean.
