Not feeling as fit and flexible as you used to? The reality of ageing is that our bodies get stiffer and weaker, stamina slumps, we gain fat faster and muscle mass is lost. We also might not feel as mentally sharp as we once did.
The good news is that yoga can help - it's a powerful system of postures that stretches and strengthens the entire body, beats stress and boosts brain power. What's more, even when you're busy it's possible to squeeze a short yoga flow into your day. Ready to look and feel younger? Try this simple sequence to get the all-round benefits.
Your 10-minute moves
This series of poses is perfect for beginners. The repeated folding and unfolding movements exercise your whole body-boosting everything from circulation, digestion and joint health to helping balance your hormones. Aim to do several rounds, every day.
1 EXTENDED MOUNTAIN POSE
Stand with your big toes touching, heels slightly apart, for a few calming breaths. Then inhale, draw your belly in and reach your arms upwards.
2 STANDING FORWARD FOLD
Exhale, draw your belly in and fold forwards from the hips, letting head and arms hang, gazing towards the knees.
3 HALF-STANDING FORWARD FOLD
