She's been part of Loose Women on and off for more than 20 years. And it seems Denise Welch might be keen to step away from the show once again as she's confessed that her recent return to the theatre in Jim Cartwright's new play The Gap has opened her eyes to new opportunities.
'When you are in this industry, you often have to do lots of things, diversify in order to survive, stay relevant, work,' she said.
So is she ready to take a break from her regular spot on the ITV show in order to try new things?
NEW VENTURES
Speaking about The Gap, in which Denise, 65, starred alongside Matthew Kelly, the star told followers how much she enjoyed herself and suggested that theatre - where her career began - is something she'd like to do more of. I haven't had [this kind of] response to anything I've done probably ever,' she said. 'We've played five weeks, one week being an extension, to sold-out audiences. We have made people laugh and cry every night, we have had a standing ovation every night. It has been a joy to say Jim Cartwright's words. The actor continued, 'I'm very emotional because I've loved doing this play, it's meant so much to me.' Denise also hinted she has more theatre work in the pipeline, adding, "The Gap in my life will now be felt. Till next time!'
