Sometimes it can feel as if our mindset is starting to mirror this negativity. All too often, life can feel like a joyless walk through molasses - not the sweet and comforting kind but the bitter, sticky stuff. It's often due to a build-up of psychological and emotional tiny 't' traumas. Rather than the Big 'T' trauma in life, such as abuse, these can be things that wear you down bit by bit - stress at work or keeping the wheels on the family bandwagon. Add to that microaggressions, the pressure to be chipper all the time and feeling powerless to change things, and life can feel more about surviving than thriving.
