The entertainment business has ground to a standstill as the actors and writers that create our favourite movies and shows strike for better pay and working conditions.
Discussions between the studios and the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) broke down on July 12, forcing workers to strike. They joined the Writers Guild of America, which went on strike in May, making this the largest action to take place in the industry in more than six decades.
The Nanny star and SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher, 65, says the drastic efforts are essential.
