Kerri-Anne Kennerley bursts out laughing when asked what it was like having the British talk show superstar spend two weeks doing "work experience" on Good Morning Australia with her in 1983 to get a taste of what breakfast TV was like.
"It was more like a masterclass in interviewing for me!" KAK, 69, tells Woman's Day.
"You have to remember in the early 1980s I was a rookie, and all of a sudden to be sitting for two weeks with the great Michael Parkinson... to just sit and talk to him was a huge privilege. I was a young buck, so to listen and learn was pretty cool."
