The Sussexes' Hollywood ambitions don't appear to be slowing down anytime soon and their latest move has once again ruffled royal feathers at Buckingham Palace.
It's been announced the couple are set to produce a new movie that bears an uncanny resemblance to their own lives, and, disturbingly, the death of Princess Diana.
Despite speculation that Harry, 38, and Meghan, 42, might be on the verge of losing their multimillion-dollar Netflix deal, they've bought the screen rights to the romantic novel Meet Me At The Lake by Carley Fortune, which they'll turn into a film.
An insider reveals Prince William is "furious", while King Charles remains "deeply disturbed" by the couple's decision to produce a movie where the main character's mother dies in a car crash.
"The King is deeply disturbed by it all," says the source. "He always hoped that one day they'd be able to work things out and move on but Charles knows people think Harry was a fool for marrying Meghan."
Royal expert Phil Dampier confirms to Woman's Day that the family will be understandably distressed by this latest move.
"The whole tragedy of Diana's death will be dragged up again," he says. "That will upset the King and the Prince of Wales and bring back painful memories. It's as if Harry can't let go and move on from his past."
