Yes, today I am going to boast about my wife, and you have to please excuse me because she deserves it. When I married Madhu 42 years ago (6 June 1981), she was a plain BA from Rohtak. After enjoying the first few years as a young bride in an army environment, she realised that there was enough time on her hands, and she could do much more to empower herself. So soon, within a few years, she was an MA (English), BED, NTT, and qualified in computers. She started teaching at the Happy Hours School in Jodhpur in 1990 and was a favourite of her young students. She continued to rise as a teacher, becoming Principal of the Army School, Lalgarh Jattan (Rajasthan), while I was commanding my Regiment there from 1995 to 97.
Teaching became Madhu's forte, and she mastered it in every respect, becoming a role model in being loved and respected by her students and peers.
