And there was no way to get stress out of her life. Plus, diets made her more tense. The weighing, measuring and tracking— it drives me crazy. So what was the solution?
Gradually, a few ideas pushed through Laurie’s fog of exhaustion: I can cut out processed food and snacks. I can get more fruit and vegetables. I’ ll go easy on red meat. She mulled a bit. I can handle that, and it might be enough to get my blood pressure and blood sugar down. Taking the stress out of losing weight was the one thing Laurie had never tried.
