Seizure of drugs up 57%
A RECORD £3billion worth of illegal drugs was seized by Border Force officers last year. Nearly 120 tonnes were held, including cocaine, heroin, ketamine and cannabis, in the year to March 2024. Border Force made a total of 40,639 drug seizures, the highest since records began and a 57% increase from the previous year.
