The Nation Divided After Citizenship Amendment Act
What is Citizenship Amendment Bill??? The Citizenship Amendment Bill was first introduced in 2016 by the Lok Sabha by amending the Citizenship Act of 1955. This bill was referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee, whose report was later submitted on January 7, 2019. The Citizenship Amendment Bill was passed on January 8, 2019, by the Lok Sabha which lapsed with the dissolution of the 16th Lok Sabha. This Bill was introduced again on 9 December 2019 by the Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah in the 17th Lok Sabha and was later passed on 10 December 2019. The Rajya Sabha also passed the bill on 11th December.

CAA Scratch Tribal Non-tribal Amity In Tripura
Although visible movement against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has been withdrawn in Tripura and despite strong opposition, all the tribal based political parties and social bodies stepped back from the agitation; decade long amity between tribals and non-tribals is badly affected in the state. Toying with The Idea Of A New Political Entity
Now that the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 has been turned into a piece of legislation after it was passed by the President of India barely few weeks ago, there was an impression among some section of people that in Assam, especially in the Brahmaputra valley that the spontaneous mass agitation against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) will end. Issue on ILP
The inner line permit was created during the colonial rule of the British in 1873 in order to protect vulnerable tribal communities. It is essentially an official travel document issued by the Government of India to grant Indian citizens permission for inward travel into a protected area for a limited period of time. It is mandatory for Indian citizens residing outside these areas to seek approval prior to entering these regions. However, there might be a different set of rules for long term visitors, though they are not valid for central government employees and security forces.

How Raghubar Das lost?
Legislative Assembly Elections were held in Jharkhand from 30 November to 20 December 2019 where Mr. Raghubar Das, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand of the Bharatiya Janata Party was defeated on its traditional seat by a margin of over 15,000 votes. Not only that, the BJP also lost the neighboring seat by a margin of 22,000 votes where BJP’s Devendra Singh was defeated by congress nominee Banna Gupta.
