നരേന്ദ്രമോദി ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന സി.എ.എ നിയമത്തിനെതിരായ പോരാട്ടത്തില്‍ മുന്‍പന്തിയിലാണ് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ യൂണിയന്‍ മുസ്‌ലിം ലീഗ്. പാര്‍ലമെന്റിനകത്തും പുറത്തും ആ പോരാട്ടം ശക്തമായിരുന്നു. സുപ്രീംകോടതിയില്‍ നിയമപോരാട്ടത്തിന് തുടക്കമിട്ടത് മുസ്‌ലിം ലീഗാണ്. അതില്‍ നേതൃപരമായ പങ്കു വഹിക്കുകയാണ് മുസ്‌ലിംലീഗ് ദേശീയ ഓര്‍ഗനൈസിംഗ് സെക്രട്ടറിയും എം.പിയുമായ ഇ.ടി മുഹമ്മദ് ബഷീര്‍. സി.എ.എ നോട്ടിഫിക്കേഷന്‍ ഇറക്കിയ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ അദ്ദേഹം നിലപാട് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.

ബാബുരാജിനും കോഴിക്കോട് അബ്ദുല്‍ ഖാദറിനും പുറമെ അക്കാലത്ത് ഹൃദയത്തെ തൊട്ടുണര്‍ത്തിയ ഗാനങ്ങളും നാടകവുമൊക്കെ രചിച്ച് സാംസ്‌കാരിക രാഷ്ട്രീയ രംഗത്ത് സജീവമാ

ആദിവാസി ജനതയുടെ ജീവിതത്തോട് ഇഴുകിച്ചേര്‍ന്ന് അവരുടെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കൂടുതല്‍ നിറംനല്‍കിയ ജനകീയ സാംസ്‌കാരിക പ്രവര്‍ത്തകനായിരുന്നു കെ.ജെ ബേബി. കേരളം ശീലിച്ചുവന്ന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സമ്പ്രദായത്തിന് ബദലന്വേഷണവുമായി ആദിവാസിക്കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് പുതിയ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പദ്ധതിയുമായാണ് ബേബി വയനാട്ടില്‍ 'കനവ്' ആരംഭിച്ചത്. പിന്നീട് കനവ് വളര്‍ന്നു. ഒടുവില്‍ ആദിവാസിക്കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് തന്നെ കനവ് വിട്ടുകൊടുത്ത് ബേബി മറ്റന്വേഷണങ്ങളില്‍ മുഴുകി. അതിനിടെ ആകസ്മികമായാണ് അദ്ദേഹം 2024 സെപ്തംബര്‍ 1ന് ജീവിതത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് സ്വയം പടിയിറങ്ങിപ്പോയത്. ബേബിയുടെ ജീവിതയാത്ര അനുസ്മരിക്കുകയാണ് മാധ്യമ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകനായ ലേഖകന്‍.

വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ ലക്ഷ്യം എന്തെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കാതെ പരിഷ്‌കാരങ്ങള്‍ നടപ്പിലാക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഒരു തലമുറയുടെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങളും ജീവിത ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളുമാണ് അട്ടിമറിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്. കേരളത്തിലെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസരംഗത്തെ പുതിയ പരിഷ്‌കാരങ്ങള്‍ ഉയര്‍ത്തുന്ന നൈതികതയെക്കുറിച്ച് ചില നിരീക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ് അധ്യാപകനും സംസ്ഥാന കരിക്കുലം കമ്മിറ്റി മുന്‍ അംഗവുമായ ലേഖകന്‍.


ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ആള്‍നാശവും പ്രകൃതിനാശവുമാണ് വയനാട്ടിലെ ഉരുള്‍പൊട്ടലില്‍ ഉണ്ടായത്. ദുരന്തത്തിന്റെ കാരണം സംബന്ധിച്ച് വികസന മൗലികവാദികളും പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷകരും വിദഗ്ധരും ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ നിരവധിപേര്‍ ചേരിതിരിഞ്ഞ് വാദങ്ങള്‍ ഉന്നയിക്കുകയാണ്.  എന്നാല്‍ ഇതില്‍ നിന്ന് വ്യത്യസ്തമായി ഉരുള്‍പൊട്ടലിന്റെ ആഘാതം ലഘൂകരിക്കാന്‍ എന്ത് സമീപനമാണ് സ്വീകരിക്കേണ്ടത് എന്ന് നിര്‍ദേശിക്കുന്നു കേരള ഫോറസ്റ്റ് റിസര്‍ച്ച് ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റിയൂട്ടിലെ ഫോറസ്റ്റ് എന്റൊമോളജി ചീഫ് സയന്റിസ്റ്റായ ലേഖകന്‍.

പ്രകൃതിയെ സ്‌നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്‍ നല്‍കുന്ന മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകള്‍ അവഗണിക്കുന്ന ഭരണകൂടങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പ്രകൃതി തന്നെ നല്‍കുന്ന പാഠങ്ങള്‍ പക്ഷേ ഭയാനകമായിരിക്കും. അതാണ് മുണ്ടക്കൈയിലെയും പരിസരങ്ങളിലെയും ഉരുള്‍ പൊട്ടല്‍ കാണിക്കുന്നത്. കേരളം കണ്ട ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ആള്‍നാശമാണ് വയനാട്ടിലുണ്ടായത്. 2024 ആഗസ്റ്റ് 1 ലെ കണക്ക്പ്രകാരം 291 പേരാണ് മരിച്ചത്. 277 പേര്‍ കാണാമറയത്താണ്. ലോകത്തെ സങ്കടക്കടലിലാക്കിയ ഉരുള്‍പൊട്ടലിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലവും സംഭവങ്ങളും വിശദമാക്കുകയാണ് വയനാട് സ്വദേശിയും മുതിര്‍ന്ന മാധ്യമ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകനുമായ ലേഖകന്‍.

മൃതിയുടെ രൂക്ഷഗന്ധം പേറുകയാണ് ഫലസ്തീന്‍ തെരുവുകള്‍. ഇസ്രാഈലി പട്ടാളക്കാര്‍ക്ക് വിരസതയേറുമ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ വെടിവെയ്ക്കുന്നത് ഫലസ്തീന്‍ ജനതയുടെ നെഞ്ചിലേക്കാണ്. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര യുദ്ധ നിയമങ്ങളും വെടിവെയ്പ്പിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങളുമെല്ലാം ഇവിടെ കുഴിച്ചുമൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. നിസ്സഹായരായ സ്ത്രീകളും കുട്ടികളും ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ എല്ലാവരും വെടിച്ചില്ലുകള്‍ക്കിരയാവുന്നു. ഇസ്രാഈല്‍ പട്ടാളക്കാരുടെ മുഖത്തേക്ക് നോക്കിയാല്‍പ്പോലും ക്രൂരമായി കൊല്ലുന്നു. ജന്മനാട്ടില്‍ മരണം വിധിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ജനതയുടെ ദുരന്ത ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ നേര്‍ക്കാഴ്ചയാണ് ഈ ലേഖനം.

പൗരത്വഭേദഗതി ബില്ല് ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ന്യൂനപക്ഷത്തെ പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലാക്കുന്ന നിരവധി വിഷയങ്ങളില്‍ കാതലായ ഇടപെടല്‍ നടത്തിയ മുന്‍ എം.പിയും ഇന്ത്യന്‍ യൂണിയന്‍ മുസ്‌ലിം ലീഗിന്റെ ദേശീയ നേതാവുമായ ഇ.ടി മുഹമ്മദ് ബഷീര്‍ വീണ്ടും പാര്‍ലമെന്റിലേക്ക് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കയാണ്. അദ്ദേഹം ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ലോക്‌സഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഫലത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് വിലയിരുത്തുന്നു.
