Ior most of us, our lives centre around our work. We put off
going to the gym, meeting friends or family when on an
important work project. Do statements like“Let’s meet
later”, “I will start going to the gym again after this project
gets done”, sound familiar? We are a generation that is always ‘online’.
People tend to get anxious when separated from their devices even
for a short while. I met a person at the doctor’s office who insisted on
carrying his iPad into the examination room to avoid missing out on
work emails. Add to this, the recent uncertainty in the job market
because of the layoffs, the prevailing poor working environments –
and you have a recipe for disaster.
