This is an issue about women in music. All women in music – whether it’s the OGs of playback singing, classical music icons, women of Indian origin or regional stars. Why, one might ask? Why not! It’s about time these incredible artistes had a whole issue dedicated to them as they have been our companions through sickness, health, joy and sorrow. We reach out to music when words fail us. A song can illustrate that emotion buried deep in your heart; when tears fall, melodies soothe. The women on this cover are the soundtrack to our lives.
