MANU AT WORK

Nature, worship and ritual, theatre and film, as well as the work of other seminal artists and his own previous works, colour the animated paintings of renowned Indian artist Manu Parekh.

Following the successful retrospective, Manu Parekh: 60 Years of Selected Works hosted by the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Mumbai in 2018, Saffronart hosted a book launch and exhibition titled Manu Parekh: Recent Paintings at the Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi last month. Featuring 42 works created over the course of a single year, the exhibition explored the myriad influences that have informed Parekh’s oeuvre.
