Jimmy Loco returns with a Mexi-flavoured sequel …
Knackers
Caballo Loco 2

There’s more than enough black is the new black Harleys in this world to fill every street and back alley way in Milwaukee, and there ain’t nothing wrong with that. But jeez it’s good to lay your eyes on an old Shovelhead with as much colour and character as this one right here. A blast from the past chopper that oozes old-school custom charm.

The Shovelhead engine has proven to be a favourite for custom builders. Maybe because they themselves have a deep sentimental connection with the Harleys of those wild years in the ’60s and ’70s, in the hedonistic days of their youth. Either that or the fact they’re often a lot more affordable and attainable than most other Harley engines. Sure, they’ve had their fair share of issues over the journey – oil retention being right up there – but nothing a savvy engineer couldn’t tweak.

Without a doubt, Jimmy Loco – aka the Mexican Chopper King – is just that; a savvy engineer. He’s one of those jack-of-all-trades types and has a quiver full of ideas to reach into along with a more than enough talent to achieve his vision. He designed and built this very charismatic dream machine mostly by himself in his humble little garage in Melbourne. He did however outsource the stunning engraving job by sending both the engine and gearbox all the way to Thailand. Not cheap, but the visual impact is impressive.
