BMW is known to provide true driver's cars to its customers, and has demonstrated this once again by launching the new M2 with a manual transmission. We sit down with Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, as he explains their philosophy of giving customers what they want.

Vikram Pawah
Vikram joined BMW Group India as President in 2017 and was appointed CEO of BMW Group Australia & New Zealand in 2018. He returned to India in 2020 and has been President of BMW Group India since. Previously, he also spent time at Honda Siel Power Products, Honda Australia, Honda Cars and Harley-Davidson as well.
Vikram, I drove here in a manual M2 because I wanted to meet the man responsible for bringing us a proper performance car with a manual gearbox. Did Munich think you were crazy to ask for an M car with a manual in India?

A FRIEND IN NEED
This month, the Skoda Kylaq was my friend in need. I had to travel a lot for some personal work, and this meant frequent highway runs. Sometimes, I had to take alternate routes filled with crater-like potholes and broken roads, to ditch peak-hour traffic, too. These runs gave me a good perspective of how the car would perform when subject to such long drives frequently.
