Brain for Business
The Bollywood and Hollywood star has recently launched a restaurant, a haircare brand and her memoir
SHE IS AN ACTRESS, singer, author, and entrepreneur. Yes, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is all this and more. Yet her name takes one back to her Miss World win in 2000. She has achieved many milestones since then.
In addition to making a mark in the movie business internationally, she is an astute entrepreneur. Last year, despite the pandemic, Priyanka Chopra Jonas opened an Indian restaurant named Sona, in New York. She also launched a haircare brand and released a memoir, titled Unfinished. Her book chronicles her childhood and her journey to becoming an actor. With warmth and honesty, she writes about her challenges and her wins along the way.
COMMITMENT TO HER CRAFT
Priyanka Chopra is just not a glamorous “movie star”. Her acting demonstrates prowess, as her stellar performances reveal in Mary Kom, based on the life of the Indian boxer, and Barfi, where she portrays a differently-abled girl.
In Hollywood, she made a mark in the series Quantico and quickly became a well-known name. “Priyanka Chopra’s biggest achievement has been the ease with which she has transitioned from Bollywood to Hollywood and made a steady career for herself in American movies,” says Saibal Chatterjee, the noted film critic.
