TROY D. WILLIAMS aka “Hollywood” has taken the acting world by storm. The nickname “Hollywood” was given to him by his friends, because of his confidence, flashy style of dress, and his overall swag. He has appeared in over 20 productions in his first full year of acting. Williams has really begun to make a name for himself in the industry. With many upcoming projects, he is not looking to slow down anytime soon. His future looks very promising.
Originally from Bradenton, Florida, Troy now resides in Orlando, FL with his lovely wife Candace and their three beautiful children (Troy Jr, Tyson, and Aaliyah). They welcomed their baby girl into the world on September 18th. To say that Williams has a busy life would be an understatement; in addition to raising a family, he still works a full time job 40+ hours a week and runs his own business in his spare time. Somewhere in there he finds time to pursue his true passion of acting. Here is Troy's journery in his own words.
To this day, people do not believe me when I tell them I work full time. I understand my path to Hollywood is non-traditional, but this is my story and I’ve learned to embrace the process. I will admit, sometimes it is very difficult to find that balance between family time and acting. I devote a great deal of time to script studying and character development, which require extreme focus and no distractions. My wife has done an amazing job in helping me with that. Whether it’s scheduling family days on my calendar, arranging time to spend time with my sons, or even setting up much needed date nights for she and I, she runs the household very well and none of this would be possible if it weren’t for her.
Acting was only a dream to me this time last year, but this year has really taken off for me. I looked back through my calendar this year and I could only find six weekends in 2016 that I wasn’t filming, that is truly a blessing. I’ve accomplished every goal I set for myself this year as it relates to acting, and I’ve even surpassed a few. When you find your true passion in life and go after it, amazing things can happen. The impossible becomes possible and overall you grow as a person.
