On a beautiful summer afternoon, the impressive doors of the Begani household are opened for HELLO! We’re welcomed in enthusiastically by the young couple, Rohan and Richa, who live there with their children and immediately sense the warm and cozy atmosphere that has been created here. Rohan Begani runs the family business, Begani Jewels, which is one of the most respected and highly sought-after jewellery brands in the city, while doting wife Richa handles the company’s social media operations as well as being a hands-on mother to six-year-old Arsh and two-year-old Aira. Eight years into their marriage and the chemistry between Rohan and Richa is strong as ever. While the shoot progresses, they crack little jokes and look almost like carefree newlyweds. And when their children come home from their day at school, their eyes light up with pride but the parenting gear is also put into play. The house is abuzz with laughter and the pitter-patter of little feet; a nurturing haven has indeed been created for this young family, who begin to regale us with their story…

How did you two meet and how long have you been married? Richa:

“We’ve been married for eight years and we met through a common friend in Mumbai while I was on internship here and Rohan had just come back from California.”

What was the proposal like and how did you know you’d found The One?

Rohan: “I guess they say when you know, you know. We were super young and everyone around us was not sure whether we knew what we were doing but I think we were pretty stubborn and we knew we would make it work no matter what.”
