‘People will see the real Wayne'

The much-awaited Wayne Rooney documentary airs next week on Amazon Prime – and for the first time, fans will get to see a true glimpse of the life of the famous footballer and his wife Coleen.

The couple, who are parents to Kai, 12, Klay, eight, Kit, six, and Cass, three, are hopeful that Rooney will not only show everyone the “real Wayne” but also show the family “in a good light”.

Wayne, who is now the manager of Derby County, started his career in football when he was just 16. Since then, the star and Coleen, 35, have rarely been out of the spotlight.

For 36-year-old Wayne, this is a chance to show everyone what he’s really like. “I wanted to be honest and touch on everything that has happened in my life,” he said of the documentary. “Which is important.”
