One day a wise man was walking along the forest, with a bag of gold coins tucked under his arm.

A thief was not far behind the wise man. He had followed the wise man from the outskirts of the forest.

The wise man, it seemed, had visited the neighbouring town, to borrow money from a money lender, for his daughter’s wedding.

The thief was tiptoeing behind the wise man, careful not to be seen. He was waiting for the right moment to waylay the wise man.
