Balochistan And APower Struggle

New Delhi these days is divided over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s references to the Pakistani province of Balochistan, most notably in his tedious Independence Day speech, where the reference to the unsettled province came in towards the last lap of the 94-minute lecture (whereas the Americans kill terrorists and innocents with drones, Modi kills our sanity with his droning on and on.)

In the camp that thinks his move to openly give support to Balochistan (and between-the-lines threaten to actively fuel subversion in our neighbouring country’s largest and resource-rich province, as Ajit Doval used to do before he became National Security Advisor) is astute are the long-repressed hawks of India’s security establishment, and the Right Wing intellectuals who have a full time job defending the actions of the government and its monkey-army of cow vigilantes. Actually, there is no such thing as a Right Wing intellectual, both in theory and in practice, as can be seen by the lightweights who try and defend the government.
