The violent death of Damilola Taylor on 27 November 2000 sent shock waves through the UK. The 10-year-old schoolboy was attacked and stabbed while walking home from his local library in Peckham, south London, and bled to death alone in a stairwell.
Damilola’s family had moved to Britain from Nigeria three months earlier, and his killers were identified as two brothers, aged 12 and 13.
